Client Brief:
art of the Land and Sea Dept. family of restaurant concepts, Golden Teardrops is the basement cocktail bar (with weekly karaoke) under the Logan Square location of Lonesome Rose.

Oversaw the marketing and social media strategy, content creation, community management, and growth initiatives. My responsibilities included managing paid and organic campaigns, influencer partnerships, giveaways, and developing comprehensive growth strategies.
Same as the other LSD properties, I did just about everything for this account. But what I’m most proud of was my Instagram rebrand in 2021, when we were reopening after COVID. Before TikTok and Gen-z “discovered” old point and shoot digital cameras (big eye roll lol), I drew inspiration from 2007 Facebook album dumps and built our social media around that unhinged vibe. IMO: Some of my best, most insane and hilarious copywriting came from this account—it was a lot of fun!

Moving away from an outdated, consistent grid-post strategy, I took note from the cultural trend of the moment: Nostalgia. We leaned into a lo-fi photo format using old digital cameras — one of the very first accounts to do this!

A cult-like following was established, with guests frequently asking to be photographed and featured on the account
