Client Brief:

Lonesome Rose is Land and Sea Dept.’s all-day bar and restaurant specializing in Tex-Mex-inspired menus. Originally opening in Logan Square in 2017, the restaurant expanded to Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood in 2023. Featuring a light-filled, open and vertiginous design, Lonesome Rose was a finalist for the James Beard Foundation Awards’ ‘Outstanding Design Award’ in 2019, and has been included on Michelin’s ‘Bib Gourmand’ list numerous times since opening.
